The visionary game developer, renowned for co-creating the immensely successful video game Call of Duty, has tragically died in a traffic collision in Los Angeles, California he was 55 years old.

Zampella's death was confirmed by Electronic Arts, the publisher that controls Respawn Entertainment, the video game company that he helped create.

The renowned video game developer died after his car crashed and caught fire on a motorway in LA on Sunday, as reported by.

"This is a heartbreaking loss, and we stand with Vince's loved ones, his loved ones, and everyone impacted by his creative vision," a representative from Electronic Arts stated.
