I'll dominate 'legitimate boxer' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight round contest which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the combatants met personally to promote next month's bout.

Former two time unified heavyweight champion Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge mismatch - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Fighter's Mindset

"I will injure his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I intend to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my intention."

Civil Exchange

In spite of these statements, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically known for his dramatics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul rather targeted ex Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and called him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian rejected a match opportunity.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, criticized British rival Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he's present here," the boxer said.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Fighter

Despite declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he said.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in last year.

Commercial Success

However, the novice is still one of boxing's biggest money-making draws, regularly earning substantial financial rewards.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old forecast a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would derail the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly being planned for 2026.

"It will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.

Size Difference

As the two fighters met for the customary face-off, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it highlighted just how surprising this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the fight is really going ahead.
