Loyal followers of Ariana Grande are calling for that a individual who leaped a fence and touched the celebrity during Thursday's Wicked: For Good launch be taken into custody or deported from Singapore.

A viral video shows the individual from Australia shoving aside media personnel and rushing toward Grande while the performers proceeded down a promenade surrounded by supporters.

Cast member Cynthia Erivo immediately pulled the surprised performer away from Mr Wen, who was observed being removed of the gathering by event staff.

Mr Wen stated on Instagram late on Thursday that he was "free after being arrested", though official papers revealed that he was due to appear on the next day. It is uncertain if he was faced legal action.

Pattern of Event Invasions

This is part of a pattern for Mr Wen, who describes himself as a "Notorious Troublemaker", has disrupted a performance. His Instagram feed features videos of him disturbing other high-profile occasions, including jumping on stage at the artist's Sydney concert in earlier this year and in a like fashion during The Chainsmokers performance in the same location last December.

"Measures must be taken enforced against him as this is evidently a criminal offence," stated an Instagram user, in a message to a video Mr Wen uploaded of his actions.

"This appears to be a habit... why are you not imprisoned?" one Instagram user wrote.

Fans Express Concern Over Ariana's Safety

Many supporters criticized Mr Wen for "re-traumatising" Grande, who had spoken of dealing with post-traumatic stress disorder after a suicide bomb attack at the conclusion of her May 2017 show in Manchester, claiming the lives of 22 people and wounding numerous individuals.

"After everything she's faced... including the Manchester attack, you considered it entertaining to rush the barrier?" said a further response on Instagram.

Several fans also faulted event staff at the Thursday event for not being vigilant enough; while different individuals called for social media platforms to ban Mr Wen's content.

Aftermath and Event Details

In videos spreading on the internet, Grande appeared surprised when she was approached by the intruder. Her co-stars Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be seen consoling her while Mr Wen was removed by guards.

Grande has not issued a statement on the event, and the premiere activities continued without further issues.

Grande, who portrays the character Glinda Glinda, was decked out in a rosé sequin dress at the event while Erivo, who acts as the wicked witch, wore a sleek black dress featuring roses.

They were accompanied by cast member Jeff Goldblum.
