Emma Raducanu ends her season and will keep coach for 2026.

Raducanu advanced to round three in three of the four Grand Slams in the current campaign.

Emma Raducanu from Great Britain will not compete in her remaining competitions of the year due to the illness she has been battling for the last week and a half.

At 22 years old was scheduled to compete in Tokyo and Hong Kong but has decided to fly home to rest and recuperate prior to beginning her preparations for 2026.

These plans will involve coach Francisco Roig, as both individuals have agreed to work together in 2026.

Raducanu underwent blood pressure monitoring while playing the initial match against Ann Li in Wuhan and withdrew when trailing 6-1 4-1 on an oppressively humid day.

Another medical visit was necessary medical attention at the recent Ningbo Open, where she was defeated in three sets to Chinese wildcard Zhu Lin in the first round.

She was also playing with clear difficulty in the final set in the match with Zhu due to the lower back problem that has been a concern on several occasions in 2025.

Those results followed a positive campaign, in which the player advanced into the international top 30 for the first time in more than three years, finished with a trio of defeats.

Raducanu had three match points before losing to Pegula in round three in Beijing last month.

The player achieved twenty-eight matches this year and advanced to the semis in Washington, but the highlight of her season was at the Miami event in March.

As Britain's top player made the last eight of the WTA 1000 event, defeating eighth seed Emma Navarro during the tournament before losing in a three-set match to Pegula, ranked fourth.

She worked with trainer Mark Petchey from the Miami event through Wimbledon, with Roig taking over ahead of the US Open.

The original arrangement with the ex-coach of Rafael Nadal was through the season's conclusion but they will keep working together, with a training session scheduled for the end of the year.

She mentioned that the trial session alongside Roig after Wimbledon was like a "covert operation" as they aimed to maintain secrecy.

She nearly succeeded to defeating top-ranked Aryna Sabalenka at their first tournament together in August's Cincinnati tournament.

Roig was also with Raducanu in New York, where she made the third stage prior to losing to Rybakina, champion at Wimbledon in 2022.
